Definition

レールの上を走り、人や荷物を運ぶ大型の乗り物。『trains』は『train』の複数形です。

通常は鉄道車両を指し、動詞「train」とは無関係です。「電車に乗る」「電車に遅れる」「駅」などの表現でよく使われます。

The trains are late today.

今日は**列車**が遅れています。

These trains go to the city center.

これらの**列車**は市の中心部へ行きます。

I like watching trains at the station.
