何かを手でいじったり、深く考えずに考えたりすること。真剣に向き合わない態度。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'toying with an idea' のように「with」と一緒によく使う。子供のおもちゃ遊びには使わない。人や考えに対して本気でないニュアンスや、からかう意味も含むことがある。
