Definition

主に車や船を、ロープやチェーンで他の車両に引っ張られて移動させること。

主に車やボートに使い、『My car was towed』のように受け身形で使われることが多い。交通違反で移動された時にも使う。'towed' と 'told' を混同しないよう注意。

The police towed the car away.
