輕輕地或隨意地扔東西的動作，或因不安而來回翻動。常指扔東西，也指失眠時在牀上翻來覆去。

'Tossing' 為非正式用語，可指隨意拋東西（如 'tossing a ball'），也常用於 'tossing and turning in bed' 形容失眠時翻來覆去。不要和 'throwing' 混淆，後者更有力。
