A parte mais alta ou superior de algo; também usado para descrever a melhor pessoa ou coisa num grupo, ou a tampa que cobre um recipiente.

'Top' é muito versátil: 'top of the mountain' (localização), 'top student' (melhor), 'put the lid on top' (objeto). Pode ser substantivo, adjectivo ou verbo ('top the charts'). Usado em listas ('top 10'). Nem sempre refere-se à altura física—'top priority' é o mais importante.
