A parte mais alta ou superior de algo; também usado para descrever a melhor pessoa ou coisa em um grupo, ou a tampa que cobre um recipiente.

'Top' é muito versátil: 'top of the mountain' (localização), 'top student' (melhor), 'put the lid on top' (objeto). Pode ser substantivo, adjetivo ou verbo ('top the charts'). Usado em rankings ('top 10'). Nem sempre significa altura física—'top priority' é o mais importante.
