何かの一番上の部分や表面を指します。また、グループで一番優れている人や物、容器のふたも表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

“top of the mountain”は「山の頂上」、 “top student”は「一番の生徒」という意味。「容器のふた」や「top priority＝最優先」のように直訳以外でも使います。使い方に注意しましょう。
