舌言語

Definition

舌は口の中にある柔らかい部分で、味を感じたり話したり食べ物を動かしたりするのに使います。また、文学的に「言語」という意味でも使われます。

通常は体の部分を指し、言語の意味で使う場合は文語や特別な表現に限られます。'bite your tongue' や 'tongue-tied' は日本語だと直訳せず意訳されることが多いです。

The soup was so hot that I burned my tongue.
