Una leve sensación de pinchazos o cosquilleo, a menudo en la piel o el cuerpo, a veces causada por emoción, excitación o adormecimiento.

Se suele usar para sensaciones leves en la piel, como por frío, emoción o nervios. Es común decir 'feel a tingle' (sentir hormigueo), 'tingle of excitement' (cosquilleo de emoción). No confundir con 'tickle' (cosquillas que hacen reír).
