Definition

여러 계층이나 등급, 또는 구조 내의 층이나 순위를 의미합니다. 조직이나 시스템, 계급 등을 나타낼 때 사용됩니다.

'탑 티어', '가격 계층', '2등급 도시' 등으로 주로 게임, 비즈니스, 시스템에서 많이 씁니다. 건물의 층수에는 사용하지 않고, 주로 등급이나 계급의 의미입니다.
