Definition

「このように」は方法ややり方を示し、「したがって」は結果や結論を表す表現です。どちらもフォーマルな文章でよく使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話ではあまり使われず、よりフォーマルや書き言葉で現れる。普段は「だから」や「それで」を使うことが多い。「and thus」「thus far」などの表現で使う。
