Definition

王座とは、王や女王などの支配者が公式の場で座る特別な椅子です。また、王権や支配者の地位そのものを指すこともあります。

主に歴史的・王室関連やファンタジー作品などで使われます。「王座に就く」「王座を継ぐ」「王位継承者」などの表現でよく使います。
