「throw」の過去形。何かを手で空中に投げたり、勢いよくどこかにやったりすること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に「ボールを投げる」など物を投げる動作に使う。'throw a party'（パーティーを開く）、'throw away'（捨てる）などの表現にも使う。'throw'は意図的、'drop'はうっかりの場合が多い。
