誰かや何かに危害や問題を加えると言ったり、それを示したりすること。または、危険や深刻な問題を引き起こしそうな場合にも使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「threaten someone」は人に直接脅す場合、「threaten to do something」は何かをすると脅す場合に使う。'warn' より強い意味。
