संख्या 1,000; दस सैकड़ों के बराबर। इसे बड़ी मात्रा या सटीक संख्या बताने के लिए इस्तेमाल करते हैं।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

गिनती और अनुमान के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है ('a thousand people', 'thousands of stars')। 'Thousands' बड़ी, अनिश्चित संख्या के लिए है। सटीक के लिए 'one thousand', अनिश्चित के लिए 'thousands of'। 'a thousands' नहीं, सिर्फ 'a thousand' कहें।
