強い恐怖や、それを引き起こすもの。特に悪夢や怖い体験について話すときに使います。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
複数形で使われることが多く、特に“night terrors（夜驚症）”のように続く恐怖や心理的な文脈に使われます。小さな怖さにはあまり使いません。
