気質は人が普段どのように感じたり反応したりする傾向、たとえば穏やかさや感受性などを表します。

日常の短い気分ではなく、その人が持つ性格や傾向を表します。説明的またはややフォーマルな場面で使います。'fiery temperament'や'artistic temperament'という表現も英語でよく使われます。

She has a gentle temperament and rarely gets angry.
