Definition

'Tells' অর্থ কোনও তথ্য দেওয়া, কিছু বলা বা আদেশ দেওয়া। কারো কাছে কিছু জানানো বা গল্প বলার ক্ষেত্রেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

অতি সাধারণ এবং বিভিন্নভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণভাবে: 'tell someone something', 'tell a story', 'tell someone to do something', অথবা তথ্য প্রকাশের জন্য 'tell from/by'। 'say' থেকে আলাদা, কারণ 'tell' প্রায়ই ব্যক্তি (object) চায়—যেমন 'tell me'।

My grandfather tells funny stories.
