一種由煤或木材製成的厚重、黑色、黏稠物質，常用於鋪路或防水錶面。

“Tar”主要作名詞使用，指道路或屋頂的瀝青，也指香煙中的有害物。不要與“tire”（輪胎）混淆。作動詞“to tar”時，指塗焦油，但很少見。
