Usado com frequência para aviões ('The plane will take off'), tirar roupa ('take off your shoes') e, de forma informal, crescimento rápido de algo ('The business took off'). No caso de roupas, o objeto direto fica entre 'take' e 'off': 'take off your shirt'.
