Definition

おたまじゃくしは、水中に住み、長いしっぽがあって足のない、カエルやヒキガエルの子どもの姿です。成長すると足が生え、大人のカエルやヒキガエルになります。

主に理科や生物の話で使われます。「polliwog」という類義語はほとんど使われません。
