使用冒犯性或粗魯語言，通常指罵人的髒話。也可以指做出鄭重承諾，但多指表達憤怒或挫折時說髒話。

“Swearing” 多為非正式或粗魯表達，正式場合應避免。可見「stop swearing」（不要說髒話）。亦可指莊重誓言，但多在法律情境下用。
