証拠はないが、特に悪いことについて何かが本当だと思うこと。または誰かの正直さや行動を疑うこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

今まさに疑っている場合によく使う。'suspecting someone of something' は「～が～したのではと疑う」という意味。'accusing' より弱く、証拠はまだない時に使う。
