'Stunned' 常用來表達極大震驚或情感衝擊，如突發新聞或令人驚嘆的場面。有 'was stunned'、'stood there stunned' 等常見搭配。比 'surprised' 強烈，但不及 'devastated' 嚴重。不用於小驚喜。
