「勉強した」は「study」の過去形で、何かの分野について学んだこと、または何かを注意深く観察・調査したことを表す言葉です。

学校や仕事の“勉強した”だけでなく、“顔をじっと観察した”のように注意深い観察にも使われます。「a studied response」は意図的・計画的という意味です。

I studied English last night.
