Definition

「頑固」とは、他人に何と言われても自分の意見や考えを変えようとしない様子です。ネガティブな意味が多いですが、強い意志を表すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に人に使われますが、問題や物にも使えます（例：「頑固な汚れ」）。「too stubborn to admit」や「as stubborn as a mule」も会話でよく使われます。
