自分を重要だとアピールするために、威張った態度や自信満々な様子で歩くこと。または、そのように振る舞うこと。

日常会話や説明的な場面でよく使われ、やや批判的なニュアンスがあります。「strutting around」は「偉そうに歩き回る」という意味で使われます。
