Definition

실제 또는 상상 속 사건을 재미있게 들려주거나 정보를 주기 위해 말이나 글로 표현하는 것. 건물의 층이라는 뜻도 있다.

일상 대화와 글에서 자주 쓰임. 'tell a story', 'make up a story', 'true story'처럼 다양한 표현에 쓴다. 건물 층 의미로는 미국 영어에서 주로 사용된다.

He told a story about his trip.

그는 자신의 여행에 대한 **이야기**를 해주었다.
