अक्सर खाने या तरल चीज़ों को मिलाने के लिए ('stirs the soup') प्रयोग होता है। भावनाएँ या अशांति भड़काने के लिए भी ('stirs emotions', 'stirs up trouble')। यह present simple में third person singular का रूप है।
