'stir' の過去形。何かをかき混ぜたこと、または誰かの感情や反応を引き起こしたこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
物理的な混ぜる動作（“stirred the soup”）も感情を動かす場合（“stirred emotions”）もある。受動態でよく使われる。'shaken'（振る）や'mixed'（混ぜる）と混同しないように。'stirred'はやさしく回すイメージ。感情や議論を喚起する意味もある。
