Definition

'Sticking' বলতে বোঝায় কিছু একটি স্থানে লেগে আছে, আটকে গেছে, বা কিছু একটি জায়গা থেকে বাইরে বেরিয়ে আছে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

‘sticking to the wall’ মানে দেয়ালে লেগে থাকা, ‘the door is sticking’ মানে দরজা আটকে যাচ্ছে, আর ‘sticking out’ মানে বাইরে বেরিয়ে আছে। ‘Sticking’ সাধারণত কোনো কাজ বা সাময়িক অবস্থা বোঝায়। ‘Sticky’ বিশেষ্য বিশেষণ, ‘sticking’ নয়। ‘Sticking to’ যখন নিয়ম মানা বোঝায়, তখন আলাদা।
