他人のものを許可なく、返すつもりもなく取ること。また、アイデアや注目、チャンスなどを不当に奪う場合にも使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に違法に物を取る時に使います（例：'steal money', 'steal a car', 'steal from someone/shop'）。比喩的にも使われ（'steal an idea', 'steal the show', 'steal a glance'）、'rob'と混同しないようにしましょう。'steal'は物を、'rob'は人や場所を対象にします。
