Definition

雕像是用石頭、金屬或其他堅硬材料製成的人或動物立體形象。它通常放在公共場所、花園或建築物中供人觀賞。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

'statue' 指通常較大、固定展示的人物或動物立體像。不要和 'status' 混淆；也不要和較廣義的 'sculpture' 完全等同，後者也可以指抽象雕塑。常見搭配有 'a bronze statue'、'a marble statue'、'unveil a statue'、'a statue of someone'。
