किसी विशेष स्थान पर नौकरी, सैन्य या सरकारी कर्तव्य के लिए नियुक्त या तैनात होना।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अधिकतर सैन्य या आधिकारिक पदों पर उपयोग होता है। प्रायः passive रूप में: 'was stationed' प्रयोग होता है। सिर्फ 'located' (स्थिति बताना) से न मिलाएँ; इसमें अधिकारपूर्वक तैनाती का भाव है।
