'stationary' को अंग्रेजी 'stationery' (कागज आदि सामग्री) से न मिलाएँ। यह शब्द औपचारिक और तकनीकी सन्दर्भों में आम है, जब कुछ बिलकुल स्थिर हो ('a stationary vehicle')।
