Definition

多くの動物や人が突然恐怖や興奮で一斉に暴走する状態を指します。冷静さを失い制御できない状況でよく使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に動物（特に牛の群れ）に使われますが、人の群衆にも使います。「stampede」はパニック状態や制御が効かない場合に限ります。通常、少人数や秩序ある移動には使いません。
