얼룩

Definition

옷이나 천, 표면 등에 남아 잘 지워지지 않는 색깔 있는 자국 또는 얼룩입니다.

주로 음식, 음료, 잉크, 흙 등에서 생긴 자국에 사용됨. '커피 얼룩', '피 얼룩'과 같은 조합으로 많이 쓰임. 명예 등 추상적인 것에도 비유적으로 씀. 'spot'은 점, 뾰루지 등을 뜻하므로 구분해야 함.

She scrubbed the floor to remove the stains.
