“驚人的”形容某事非常大、令人喫驚或難以置信。也可以形容一個人走路很不穩,像要摔倒一樣。

常用來形容數字、資訊令人震驚(如 'a staggering amount'),亦可形容走路搖晃不穩。不要和“amazing”(正面驚喜)或“staggered”(錯開、喫驚)混淆。
