Definition
ネズミや古いドアなどが出す、短くて高い音を発すること。「squeaks」は「squeak」の三人称単数・複数形。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
動物の鳴き声（特にネズミ）や機械的な音（ドア、靴など）に使い、『きしむ』『キーッ』などの表現が合います。大きな音や低い音では使いません。

The mouse squeaks when it is scared.
