新芽スプラウト（食用）

Definition

種や植物から出る小さな新芽のこと。特に食用として使われるスプラウト（例：もやし、アルファルファ）を指す。

食用の場合は『スプラウト』『もやし』などと呼ぶことが多い。一般の新芽には『新芽』が使われる。『スプラウト』はブロッコリースプラウトや豆苗などの食品に使い、ブリュッセル・スプラウト（芽キャベツ）とは別物。

We had sprouts in our salad today.

今日のサラダには**スプラウト**が入っていました。
