誰かをわざと傷つけたり、困らせたり、怒らせたりしたいという気持ちを表す形容詞で、たいてい怒りや嫉妬が原因です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ややフォーマルな語で、例えば「spiteful remark」「spiteful act」のように使います。単なる嫌いとは違い、意図的な悪意や復讐心が含まれます。「spite（名詞）」とは区別して使います。
