मकड़ी एक छोटा जीव है जिसकी आठ टाँगें होती हैं, जो जाला बनाती है और कीड़े खाती है। कुछ मकड़ियाँ बिना जाले के भी शिकार करती हैं, और हालाँकि बहुत से लोग उनसे डरते हैं, ज़्यादातर इंसानों के लिए हानिकारक नहीं होतीं।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

रोज़मर्रा की अंग्रेज़ी में 'spider web' और 'cobweb' जुड़े हुए शब्द हैं, लेकिन हमेशा एक जैसे नहीं होते: 'cobweb' अक्सर पुराने, धूल भरे जाले के लिए आता है। आम वाक्यांश हैं 'a spider crawled up the wall' और 'I'm scared of spiders.'
