スポーツの試合やイベントを会場で見ているが、参加しない人たち。

「観客」は、主にスポーツや公演などの生で観る場面で使われ、テレビで観る人には通常使いません。「スポーツ観客」「観客の大群」などで使います。映画やテレビにはあまり使いません。
