伸縮性が高い合成繊維で、スポーツウェアやダンスウェア、体にぴったりした服によく使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

アメリカでは『スパンデックス』、イギリスやヨーロッパでは『エラスタン』という呼び方が多いです。ふつう数えられず、「スパンデックス素材」のように使います。カジュアルやゆったりした服には使いません。
