Definition

2年生はアメリカの高校や大学で2年目に在籍する学生のことです。

アメリカ独特の言い方で、他国ではほとんど使いません。「freshman（1年生）」の次で「junior（3年生）」の前です。学生以外には使いません。

She is a sophomore in college.

彼女は大学の**2年生**です。

My brother will be a sophomore next year.

弟は来年**2年生**になります。
