눈보라는 짧은 시간 동안 많은 눈이 내리고 강한 바람이 불어 시야가 나쁘고 이동이 힘든 기상 현상입니다.

주로 일기예보나 겨울 날씨를 이야기할 때 사용합니다. '심한 눈보라', '눈보라에 갇히다'와 같이 자주 쓰입니다. '블리자드'는 눈보라보다 더 심한 경우를 뜻합니다.
