'Snoring' मुख्यतः संज्ञा के रूप में और कभी क्रिया के रूप में (continuous form) इस्तेमाल होता है। सामान्यतः 'loud snoring', 'snoring problem', 'stop snoring' जैसे वाक्यांशों में प्रयुक्त होता है। यह शब्द आम बातचीत में मिलता है, औपचारिक नहीं है।
