অশ্লীলতা মানে এমন ভাষা, ছবি বা কৌতুক যা যৌন বা কুরুচিপূর্ণ। আবার, এটি কোনো কিছুতে লেগে থাকা কালো দাগকেও বোঝাতে পারে।

'অশ্লীলতা' অনানুষ্ঠানিক কথায় বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়, মূলত যৌনবিষয়ক অশ্লীল ম্যাগাজিন, বই বা কৌতুক বোঝাতে। 'কালি' অর্থটি পুরনো এবং খুব কম ব্যবহৃত হয়।
