商品や人を秘密裏に、違法に一つの場所や国から別の場所や国へ運ぶこと。

法律や警察関連の文脈でよく使われる。'drug smuggling'（麻薬密輸）、'human smuggling'（人の密輸）など。'trafficking'は搾取を伴う場合があるので区別する。
