より滑らかは、何かが他のものよりも滑らかで、引っかかりが少ない状態を指します。話し方や動きがより流暢・スムーズになることも表せます。

比較級として使い、『A is smoother than B』のような言い方になる。'smoother surface'や'smoother ride'など物理的・比喩的両方で使われる。「softer」は主にやわらかさに使われる点に注意。

This table is smoother than the old one.
